FIRST ARTICLE
Fashion is cyclical, but classics endure. First Article began with a cast of friends who shared a commitment to well-made goods, channeling that passion into a private label rooted in San Francisco Americana. Our collaboration centered on uncovering the realities of local garment manufacturing and addressing the absence of high-quality, hyper-local production. The vision was clear: build a line of perennial essentials—from outerwear to accessories—at accessible price points. Each piece reflected an everyday need, whether a lightweight duck canvas jacket that ages well with denim or a moisture-wicking melton wool cap. Produced in limited quantities and proudly manufactured in the city, the collection prioritized quality, local narrative, and the revival of San Francisco’s textile workforce.
