SPACE236 GALLERY
SPACE236 was a neighborhood gallery dedicated to preserving and celebrating the arts in San Francisco. Located in the Tenderloin, the gallery served the local community for two years before closing. In collaboration with the City of San Francisco, I helped transform a former liquor store into a creative space designed to inspire artistic expression.
This gallery space was conceived to capture the city’s nostalgia and character through its artists and their stories, expressed across multiple mediums. Featured artists shared personal perspectives on San Francisco and worked closely with me to refine and shape their exhibitions. The work on display ranged from painting and illustration to photography and sculpture.
Beyond rotating exhibitions, SPACE236 hosted community-centered events rooted in San Francisco culture. Creatives spoke about their craft and led open forums, using dialogue and shared experience to bring the community closer and foster ongoing inspiration.
